The Jaisalmer Fort is located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The fort was built in 1156 by the king Jaisal. The fort is 250 feet tall and reinforced by an imposing sandstone wall of 30 feet. There are 99 bastions in the fort. The color of massive sandstone walls are yellowish-brown in day time and turning magical honey-gold at the sun sets, due to this color the fort is called as 'Golden Fort'.
