One of the most important festivals in Mizoram is Mim Kut which is celebrated during the months of August and September. On this day people pay respect to those who died in the previous year by offering bread, maize, vegetables and other items. Dancing and singing is also an integral part of this festival.

Pawl Kut

Pawl Kut is another important festival in Mizoram which is celebrated by the local people during the months of December or January. It’s a two days event on which people perform thanks giving ceremony after the completion of harvesting activities.

Chapchar Kut

An unusual blissful aura is spread all around the state during the fest of Chapchar Kut which is held in the month of March every year. It’s a seven days celebration where people indulge in all sort of musical merriment from dancing to music competitions.

Thalfavang Kut

Thalfavang Kut is a major festival in Mizoram which is celebrated after the completion of weeding of the crop fields by cultivators. Many cultural events are organized during this festival including dance performances in unique attires by local people.
