Ningol Chakouba :

Ningol Chakouba is a family festival in Manipur that strengthens the bond between the married girl and her family. The occasion is held every year on the 2nd month of October and November. Married girls are invited to a feast at their parental house on this day.

Yaoshang :

Yaoshang also known as Yawol Shang is a festival in the state celebrated in the memory of Manipuri God ‘Pakhangba’ that resembles a Hindu festival Holi. It’s a five days celebration which falls during the month of February or March every year.

Lai-Haraoba is a spiritual festival in the state which involves the worship of traditional deities and sylvan deities known as Umang Lai. A traditional dance performance by men and women in front of deities is also the part of celebration.

Heikru Hidongba :

Heikru Hidongba is the joyful festival celebrated in the month of September that involves a boat race. 16 meter long narrow boats are used for the race which can accommodate many rowers. Installation of Lord Vishnu is done before the race begins.

Lui Ngai Ni :

Celebrated every year on the 15th Manipur. The major highlight of this event is social gathering, dancing and singing by the people of Naga group.
