Baisakhi

The most important and famous festival in Chandigarh is Baisakhi which is the anniversary of founding of Khalsa celebrated by Sikhs. The occasion falls on the first day of New Year on which people enjoy the celebration of wheat harvest.

The Festival of Gardens

The Festival of Gardens earlier famous as Rose Festival is the day on which roses are displayed throughout. Numerous music and dance performances, flower shows and various exhibitions are organized by photographers and craftsman.

The Mango Festival

The other interesting occasion is the Mango Festival in the state which is organized in the month of June.
